Nicole Stoicovy-Ruscitto

A lifelong advocate for strong communities and responsible leadership, Nicole Ruscitto brings over 30 years of public service experience as both an educator and a dedicated civic leader.

As a proud former council member in Jefferson Hills, Nicole has deep roots in our community and a long-standing commitment to improving the lives of local families. As a public school teacher for three decades, she worked tirelessly to support students and help shape the future of our neighborhoods, one classroom at a time.

In 2024, Nicole ran a highly competitive race for State Senate in the 37th District, bringing attention to key issues such as education, infrastructure, and fiscal accountability. That campaign reinforced her belief that local government must work smarter for the people it serves.

Now, Nicole is running for local council to refocus on the heart of what matters most: strong families, safe neighborhoods, and smart investments. With a proven track record of fiscal responsibility, she is committed to ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, improving essential services while avoiding unnecessary spending.

One of Nicole’s top priorities is enhancing the use of our community’s incredible parks and green spaces. She believes these natural assets are not only treasures for recreation and wellness but also vital tools for building stronger connections among residents of all ages.

With deep experience, a passion for service, and a vision rooted in common sense, Nicole is ready to get back to work for our community.

Ed Manfredi

Ed Manfredi is a lifelong Jefferson Hills community member who decided to run for borough council when his neighbors asked him. In addition, Ed coached a variety of athletics, was an active member in the Jefferson Hills Lions Club, and a finance board director for the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Now, with decades of life experience and community service, Ed is stepping up to the plate to deliver what the people of Jefferson Hills need: fairness, growth, and responsibility.

Karen Bucy

I was born and raised in Pleasant Hills and attended St. Elizabeth grade school and high school. My father was Ned Barbarich, and he was the small business owner of Ned’s shoe repair in Pleasant Hills. My parents felt it was important to give back to the community especially when the community supported their business. They passed along this commitment to service along to their two daughters.

I obtained a BS from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master degree from California University of PA in education. For 37 years, I was employed as a public school educator and basketball coach. During that time, I also served as a union president and negotiated collective bargaining agreements for over 20 years.

My loving husband and I were married for 35 years before he passed away in November. My adult son Jackson and I miss his presence in our lives. Volunteer work has been integral part of my life with being actively involved in Adopt a Highway clean ups, the Cloverleaf Food Pantry, and veteran organizations. The reasons why I accepted the write in ballots to run for seat on Jefferson Hills Council is simple - the borough can be run more cost efficiently while addressing the concerns of residents.
